Welcome to Crab Pier Cottage. We have fully renovated and thoughtfully furnished to provide an elegant, contemporary cottage in the heart of historic Beaumaris Conservation Area. We chose the name, 'Crab Pier Cottage' in homage of the iconic Beaumaris Pier, famous for families 'crabbing' over the side; our children always ask to go to the 'Crab Pier' and so the name picked itself from there!
This is a cottage with a unique history. The original cottage dates from the early 1800s; however, on 13 March 1941, a WWII Spitfire, during a training exercise, ran into trouble; the pilot ejected and the plane crashed into, and destroyed the Cottage and much of the neighbouring shop. Thank goodness no-one was hurt!!! It was rebuilt in c.1950.
Crab Pier Cottage is in the heart of historic Beaumaris, with the main Castle Street with it's numerous restaurants, coffee/tea shops and boutique shops just 250m walk from the door.
It's an ideal base to ensure a relaxing holiday, and we invite you to enjoy
stunning Beaumaris from your doorstep, and further afield into Anglesey and North Wales, which we hope you will enjoy as much as we do.
